Ok, now it’s public knowledge…I am a Steelers fan. And a very proud one too! I’m looking forward to see the Steelers play the Packers this weekend, so you will see a couple of posts this week cheering them on… through BAKING! So if you are not a fan, I’m very sorry, just ignore me this week. I will understand!
Homemade Pancakes – Steelers style! (If you are not a Steelers fan, omit the star formation of blueberries)
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 TBSP. sugar
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 3 TBSP melted butter (if watching salt intake, use unsalted)
***Optional additions – 1 tsp vanilla, blueberries (or other berries), cinnamon, nutmeg or pumpkin
Directions:
Combine dry items in one bowl, wet foods in another bowl and then combine. Cook!!
Quick Tip: Store dry goods in large baggie and write on the baggie what to add in for wet ingredients. You can make “to-go” bags to save time.
