Quick post: Moving week

You may not see me online this week, as it’s a busy week of closing out where we’re currently living; York, PA.  We will be moving back to Charlotte, NC, and we’re super excited about it!  I’m SO SO SO grateful for all of the opportunities that have fallen on my lap this year.

I thank Fox 43 for having me on their morning news four times the past four months!  It’s been such an amazing experience and the team was great to work with.  Kiersten and Courtney, you are such fun to work around and you gals made me feel completely comfortable on the camera.  Thank you for your hospitality on the show!

Thank you to YorKitchen for having me demo in the new kitchen at Central Market York.  That gave me new perspective about teaching to others.  It was also exciting to see the new teaching kitchen in the back of the market take form; and I wish you all the best with the future of YorKitchen!

I thank my family and friends here in York, PA for providing me some great excuses to create some new dishes and be able to share them with you.  While some recipes have failed, most were pretty amazing and I’m so glad you all were there to support me through this!  The relationships I have developed up here were awesome and I am so grateful for that.

I look forward to new opportunities and new relationships in Charlotte.  I have a wonderful network of friends there already and can’t wait to see them again!  So stay tuned to this blog and you’ll see where I land.  My friends keep telling me that one day I’ll land on Food Network.  While that would be pretty amazing, and challenging, I am very happy with where I am at now.   That doesn’t mean I don’t want to go far!  I want to go very far with this and hope to see God put some cool spins on this.   I have some new directions in mind, and while I’d love to share them with you, I cannot just yet.  I don’t even know for sure where my work will land.  But it is fun to watch it form and take shape.  Something I never really dreamed of!  That’s the amazing power that God displays and keeps on showing me this year.  For those that doubt, have faith!  He provides!  I have let Him have the reigns on this, one since I don’t have the “crystal ball.”  🙂  God is GOOD!

I was watching Eat, Pray and Love the other day (for the 5th time)… and I think that statement is so true.  We should all pray!  We should all love!  But don’t forget to Eat too!!  (especially desserts!)

Love to you all,

Andrea

  1. Hi! Just joining you from basilmomma’s Blog Hop. Good luck with your move — such fun — but worth it in the end! Looking forward to your next post — great site and GREAT motto at the bottom of the page. 🙂

P.S. I looked through your archives and enjoyed the Chocolate Hills link. Did you know there are Chocolate MOUNTAINS here in the U.S.? You’d love them.

      1. I was going to say California or Arizona, but it’s been awhile since we drove through them. (My hubby & I used to be truck drivers.) Looked it up on Wikipedia just now and discovered that there are Chocolate Mountains in BOTH states, woohoo — the more chocolate, the better! Very scenic, whichever ones we saw. 🙂
